Ad Designer

We are looking for an individual experienced in Desktop Publishing applications to fill a temporary position in our Prepress department until next January. This position's primary role will consist of creating ad layouts that are proofed out to clients on a daily basis. This individual will also be expected to work within a Prepress production environment and be the "point person" in regard to all ad proof status for the Sales staff and Front Office.

Responsibilities include:

• Design and layout small format ads for our advertising clients.
• Provide support to Sales staff in regard to ad layouts, promotional materials and incoming ad copy for their clients.
• Set-up and print job work, weekly parish bulletins and in-house documents as needed.
• Assist Front Office as necessary with advertiser's ad copy, paperwork and proof approval status.
• Provide assistance to a Prepress department that has daily deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Very knowledgeable in Adobe applications such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Publisher and Word.
• Experienced in design/layout and able to work quickly with accuracy.
• Very organized and able to handle a variety of projects at one time.
• Willing to work closely with our team of Sales Representatives and take instruction from multiple managers within the company.
• Experience in a Prepress production environment very helpful.
